Sussex Haybales
This painting is a larger version of an earlier ‘Sussex haybales’ painting that sold a while ago.
I came across this view on the way back home from a camping trip we’d been on. The view is near Hamsey, outside of Lewes and there was something quintessentially English about it. It’s always reminded me of the last glorious days of summer.
I was really keen to work on a larger version of this view and was really pleased with how open and expansive it feels at this scale.
