All hands on deck!

We watched the film Titanic with our daughter for the first time this week and it’s obviously still playing on my mind!

The ‘all hands on deck’ is, however, a pretty good analogy for the situation I find myself in! I mentioned last week that I’ve had four works selected for a group exhibition, which is all so far so good!

Further good news is that the four works that have been selected are all nicely mounted, framed and exhibition ready.

The bad news is that all the other works I’m hoping to have on display in a browser, are yet to be chosen, mounted, wrapped, titled or priced. In fact beside me having some paintings lying around somewhere… that’s about as far as I’ve got!

I’m due to deliver everything next week, so there’s a lot to do between now and then – hence all hands needing to be on deck!

There’ll be a private view next Thursday at 35 Gallery North, in central Brighton from 6pm – 8pm. If anyone reading this would like to like to attend, please do drop me an email at with your name and email, then I can ask the gallery to get a Private View invitation emailed to you!

In other news, here’s another sketchbook study – this one of an area known as ‘the Shoreditch Triangle’ in London. The modern overhanging building on the right is a branch of Sainsbury’s but I didn’t fancy tackling the signwriting!
